1. Jumlah hasil pencarian tidak berpengaruh terhadap tingkat persaingan SEO anda.

Dulu saya berpikir bahwa banyaknya jumlah website hasil pencarian menjadi pertimbangan sulit tidaknya persaingan SEO terhadap keyword tersebut. Faktanya banyaknya saingan tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil teknik SEO anda karena yang paling penting ada 10 website pertama, yaitu halaman 1.
Betul, bila saya sedang mengincar satu keyword tertentu tidak lagi peduli banyaknya saingan karena saya hanya fokus pada 10 besar yang pertama. bagaimana SEO pageon, banyaknya backlink, nilai PR dll. yang lain anggap aja gak ada. mungkin masih banyak yang protes, Ok saya kasih ilustrasi
Misalkan anda ingin mengincar keyword A dengan banyaknya pesaing 1 milyar, banyak bukan? tapi 10 website di halaman pertama ternyata backlinknya sedikit, PR rendah yang paling tinggi cuma page rank 1 dan ternyata SEO onpagenya juga jelek misalkan artikelnya sedikit-sedikit.
Bandingkan dengan keyword B yang saingannya cuma 100.000 tapi ternyata 10 web pertama punya page rank 6-9 terus umur domain udah sepuh semua kapala 4, belum lagi backlinknya berjibun. mana yang anda pilih dan anggap bahwa mudah dikalahkan. Kalau saya lebih milih keyword A walaupun saingannya banyak.

2. Sebuah web PR nol bisa mengalahkan web ranking dari website PR 5.

website dengan PR 3 bisa dikalahkan rankingnya oleh website dengan Pagerank di bawah 3 bahkan website PR nol sekalipun. Tapi kini saya mengamati telah terjadi yang lebih ekstrim yaitu PR 4 dan 5 pun bisa berada di ranking yang lebih bawah dari pada web PR nol sekalipun.

Misalkan di keyword tool google tertera traffik bulanan sebesar 3000  (sekitar 100 pengunjung per hari) maka pengunjung yang datang rata-rata hanya 50 orang saja.
Untuk ranking ke 2 dan ke 3 menerima traffik sekitar 25% – 35%. Sedangkan website ranking ke 4 dan seterusnya adalah sisanya. Jadi bila anda ingin benar-benar mendapat traffik sesuai dengan keyword yang anda kejar maka anda harus fokus pada target mencapai ranking satu.
Hal ini terjadi karena mungkin saja, seorang pengunjung menggunakan keyword yang anda incar sebagai keyowrd kedua , ketiga ataupun ke empat. Sedangkan keyword yang dia gunakan ternyata keyword lain yang tidak anda kuasai. Bila hasil pencarian yang pertama sudah memuaskan, maka ia tidak akan mencari menggunakan keyword ke-2, ke-3 dan seterusnya. Bila keyword pertama tidak memberikan informasi yang tepat baru dia akan mencari menggunakan keyword yang mungkin anda kuasai.

4. website dengan micro niche bisa mengalahkan webiste besar

Ini pula kasus besar seo,.. sejak dulu hingga sekarang walaupun ada update google berkali-kali tapi tetap saja web/blog dengan niche tertarget dan fokus lebih bagus rankingnya dibanding website-website besar sekalipun untuk keyword-keyword yang se niche.
Misalkan saja anda punya blog dengan niche/topik laptop, sedangkan blog saya temanya lebih spesifik yaitu laptop ASUS. Memang benar bahwa blog anda punya pasar dan keyword yang luas tapi kalau bertanding di keyword laptop ASUS dan turunannya blog anda akan kalah dengan blog laptop ASUS saya.
Fokus sebuah blog terhadap topik yang spesifik dapat dilihat pada kategori, dan tag. Bila blogspot pada label. semakin fokus dan spesifik blog / web tersebut semakin bagus.
Untuk persaingan di google indonesia sebuah blog gado-gado alias tema general masih bisa dengan mudah mendapatkan traffik harian. Tapi kalau mau bersaing di google global pasti kesulitan bahkan mendapatkan traffik 20-50 UV mungkin sudah hebat. Karena blog dan web di indonesia rata-rata punya PR kecil dan backlink sedikit. Sedangkan kalau persaingan global persaingan benar-benar ketat PR tinggi-tinggi, backlink berjibun, dan niche blog benar-benar spesifik.
